Suhail Publishing is an independent publishing company that was co-founded in 2015 in Stockholm by two sisters, Amra and Sana S. Hećo. Their aim is to produce and promote creative projects in the field of health, food, nature, sustainable living, spirituality, art and media that are meant to educate, inspire and uplift the human spirit, for the sake of improving our individual and global condition.

“Orient Expressed – a raw food journey to the Levant and beyond” is their first book. For more information about the book, click on Orient Expressed. They are currently working on their second book.

Amra Hećo was born in Sarajevo. She moved to Stockholm in her early teens due to the war in her homecountry, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Educated in theater, film and media, she has worked as freelance filmmaker, radio journalist at the Swedish National Radio, and as  media educator and cultural producer for the City of Stockholm. She has been active in the NGO world, with the focus on human rights, non-formal education and social entrepreneurship. She has Master of Arts degree from Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (SADA) and a post-master degree in Critical Images from The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. She is currently working as a teacher of documentary film at Ölands Folkhögskola.

 Dr. Sana Hećo was born in Sarajevo. She moved to Stockhom in her teens due to the war in her homecountry, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a medical doctor, naturopath, raw food chef, educator and concept developer. Love of food and pursuit of knowledge about health and sustainable living have been the driving forces behind her personal and professional endeavors. Orient Expressed is her first (cook)book both as an author and publisher.
